An election change (stop or reduce contributions) is permitted due to a reduction in hours or change in employment status.

Employees may submit claims for expenses for services rendered up to the termination date of their FSA plan.

Employees have until the claim submission deadline set by the employer to submit these claims. If an employee elects to continue their medical plan under COBRA, they may also elect to continue their FSA but must continue to pay their FSA contributions on a post tax basis. They are not required to do so.
